Position: Systems Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth system analysis and develop complex projects impacting LAX Carrier’s computerized systems
- Analyze tasks, including user interaction, goal analysis, problem complexity, logic design, and form layout
- Provide production support for integrations, acting as a liaison between LAX Carrier, customers, and vendors
- Attend technical staff meetings and meet with customers as required
- Utilize JIRA to address and close tickets in a timely manner
- Implement solutions, including user allocation, coding, testing, and documentation
- Maintain B2B program needs, resolve problems, and update requirements or SOPs
- Conduct data-flow analysis, requirements analysis, root cause analysis, software configuration, maintenance, and technical support
- Troubleshoot issues and work with data integration software
Skills/Competencies:
- Strong data-flow analysis and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in software configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Experience with data integration software and technical support
- Knowledge of EDI, XML, JSON, SQL, XL12, and programming/scripting languages
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in business programming
- Proficiency in COBOL or FORTRAN, Dot Net or RPG/AS400 preferred
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered
Additional Job Details: This is a clerical administrative position in a professional office setting. The employee will frequently sit but may occasionally stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach. Extensive use of a phone and PC is required. The position may require remote work at times.
